Spilling

Summary

This video looks at spilling.

Tab in example file: Spilling

Spilling occurs when the result of a formula contains multiple values.

The top-left cell contains the formula, the other values generated spill into the cells below and to the right.

The range that the values occupy is known as the spill range.

The Spill Error (#SPILL!) occurs when another value occupies the spill range.

Using the spill operator (#) references all cells within a cell’s spill range.
